October 19: Babywearing:
Come for a babywearing demonstration of different types of carriers for different aged kids. Our sling librarian and volunteers can help you figure out which carrier works best for your child, your body, and for the season. They'll also answer any questions you have about carriers or babywearing.
November 19: Organizing for Kids presented by Sonya Fehér of spaceWise Organizing:
Getting kids to clean up and let go of old toys or clothes can feel like a fight, but it doesn't have to be. Having discussions with your children early about what to keep, what to get rid of, and how to organize what they have will give them skills that will serve them their entire lives. Sonya will teach you how to get your kids to clean up and organized without a fight.
December 17: Peaceful Relations with Sandy Blackard:
Using her Language of Listening Strategies, Sandy will help families figure out how to Say What You See at playdates, with siblings, or even with in-laws. You'll be able to help your kids know what they're feeling or what they need and communicate clearly with other people. You'll also learn how to Say What You See with the people in your life.
*we will update this list with additional topics and names of guest speakers as soon as possible.
